Welcome to NaukriEdge ("we," "our," "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and share your information when you use our website, mobile application, and related AI-driven career services, and describes the rights available to you under applicable data protection laws, including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide better services to our users. This includes:

  • Account Information: When you register for a NaukriEdge account (via Email or Google Auth), we collect your name, email address, profile picture, and account credentials.
  • Resume and Career Data: Any document you upload (PDF, DOCX, or DOC) for ATS checking or resume tailoring, and any text you input such as job descriptions, target roles, current salary details, and mock interview answers.
  • Usage Information: Metadata regarding how you interact with our platform (API requests, page hits, features used, and payment status).
  • Cookies: See Section 8 below — analytics and marketing cookies are only set with your consent.

3. How We Process Resume Data

Your uploaded resumes are read and parsed locally in-memory to extract text context. The extracted resume text, along with your target job description, is processed through our integrated secure Google Generative AI (Gemini) API to provide tailoring advice, ATS matching scores, and mock interview preparation. We do not sell, trade, or share your resume content or resume documents with any third-party marketing networks.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:

  • Performance of a contract — to create your account, process your resume/career data through our tools, and deliver the subscription you've purchased.
  • Consent — for analytics and marketing cookies (see Section 8), which you can grant or withdraw at any time.
  • Legitimate interest — for fraud prevention, rate-limiting, and security event logging that protect the Service and its users.

5. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure runs on Firebase/Google Cloud, and resume/career data is processed via the Google Gemini API — both may process data on servers outside your country of residence, including the United States. Google is bound by its own data processing and security commitments (including standard contractual safeguards) as our sub-processor. By using the Service, you acknowledge this cross-border transfer.

6. Payment Processing

We process subscription upgrades through Razorpay, a secure third-party payment gateway. We do not store or collect your payment card details or net banking credentials. Your financial transaction details are processed directly by Razorpay in compliance with local regulations and PCI-DSS standards.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account details and cached analysis reports (such as ATS history and generated interview prep guides) as long as your account remains active. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting our support team via our Contact Us page. Upon receipt of your request, we will purge all associated files and Firestore records within 30 days.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use three categories of cookies:

  • Essential — strictly necessary cookies (e.g. our Firebase authentication session cookie) that keep you signed in and secure your session. These cannot be disabled and don't require consent under GDPR, as the Service can't function without them.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics, used to understand traffic and feature usage. Only loaded if you opt in.
  • Marketing — Meta Pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking, used to measure ad performance. Only loaded if you opt in.

You chose your cookie preferences the first time you visited, and can change them at any time via in the site footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

If data protection law applies to you, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including for direct marketing.
  • Port your data to another service in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Delete personal information we've collected from you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information — we don't sell personal data, but our Marketing cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads) may constitute "sharing" for cross-context advertising under CPRA. Opt out anytime via .
  • Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
